What Rovers Do

As a Crew we get up to a lot of strange and unusual activities that most every day people would not have even thought of.

We incorporate indoor and outdoor activities, challenging and social activities into our programs to give variety.  These activities are sourced from the Crew itself and come from things people have either seen on TV, experienced before, heard about or just 'always wanted to try it'.  Part of this activity program is community service with other organisations such as Red Cross, Jeans for Genes, Wesley Mission Hike for Hunger, Anzac Day and other Scouting divisions.

We encourage our members to participate with other Scout sections such as Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers by including intersectional activities in our program throughout the year. If you are a Leader of one of these sections in our area and would like Rovers to come and either do an information talk to your group or assist in running an activity please contact us.

Some of our activities include:
- The Junk Food Dine Around >
- Abseiling and Rock Climbing
- Caving
- White Water Kayaking
- Bush Walking
- Ice Blocking
- Metro Gains
- Horse Riding
- Trips to the movies
- Back to Basic skill days
- Camping - both veging out and challenging
- Service to the community - no matter what the task may be>

In Rovers almost anything goes. And whilst we aim to provide an interesting program that everyone will enjoy we are always searching for new and exciting things to do. We are ready for anything.

The old Moto really does ring true though - Be Prepared - you never know who you will meet and what doors they will open for you.
